REGISTRATION AND PRE-ENROLMENT
Registration Update:
For the 2026 - 2027 school year, D.S. MacKenzie Junior High School is full in planned classes in Grade 8 in both the regular program and the Academic Enrichment program. We will no longer accept enrolment requests for Grade 8 in the Academic Enrichment program. For the regular program, we will now only accept resident students for Grade 8 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area and only if Donald R. Getty School's grade is also full, from their attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

Submit your child’s absence in SchoolZone!
You can now use SchoolZone to report when your child will be absent from school. This new feature is optional for Division schools, and our school is excited to participate!
On your mobile phone or desktop computer, enter your child’s absence starting a week before it occurs or up to the day they are absent. Sign in to SchoolZone, choose the Student Profile menu and then Attendance to enter an absence.
If you prefer to call the school or email Mrs. Painchaud <click here> to report an absence, you can continue to do so.
